At Mylie’s, our cabins are our pride and joy.
We offer 13 light housekeeping cabins containing 2 & 3 bedrooms as well as a 39′ RV camper that has 2 bedrooms (queen bed in each) and features h 2 slide-outs and a full length deck. Each cabin has been fully renovated and then regularly maintained since our time at the resort began. In 2017, we completed Cabins 5A and 5B in time for walleye opener to add the first new cabins to the resort since the 1970s.
From the time we took over the resort in 1992, Mylie’s Place has been known to have the cleanest cabins anywhere on Lake of the Woods. Ellen’s standards for cleaning have been carried out diligently by our hard working cleaning staff over the years to provide clean, well kept cabins for each and every group that stays at Mylie’s.
As time and funds allowed, each cabin was updated/renovated (beds, furniture, windows, doors, flooring, cupboards, dishes, plumbing, etc), while maintaining the same high standards of cleanliness. Once the interiors were fixed up, we put vinyl siding on the outsides of each building (over a period of a couple years) to really dress them up. Many people at the dock thought we had built brand new cabins after we had the first few of the cabins done with the new siding.
Each cabin is equipped with twin beds (2 per bedroom, except 1 bedroom in Cabin 2 that only has 1 twin bed.) Our new duplex cabins, built in 2016/2017, have 2 twin beds in 1 room and 1 twin & 1 double in the other room. All beds in the new duplex units are extra long. Each unit also has a full kitchen and full bathroom. Microwaves and air conditioners are standard in every cabin. The term “ultra modern” is often used to describe cabins with this many of the comforts of home. All towels and linens are provided, along with daily towel and garbage service.
We really enjoy hearing some of the guys that come to Mylie’s for the first time and promptly declare, “Wow, I could get my wife to come and stay here.” I always tell them that would be a great way to be able to make two trips a year to Lake of the Woods. One with the guys, and one with the family.
Of the 13 cabins in total, 10 of them are located right on the water with great views of the lake. Only the biggest cabin (Granny’s cabin) and the new duplex cabins are located a little off the lake.
At Mylie’s Place, we firmly believe OVERALL VALUE is the most important part of determining where to spend your hard earned money. When you factor in what you pay vs what you get, we want you to be more than satisfied with your stay.
